Ever wondered what it would have been like being on AC/DC's first American tour? Rod Tanner, our guest on Promotion Man Podcast, was there and has some great stories about Bon Scott and Angus Young. Rod spent several years as the Atlantic Records Promotion Man. He shares more stories about the rise of Foreigner and how they convinced Junior Walker to do the sax solo on their song Urgent. Rod also worked with Phil Collins who got so popular that he was even sick of himself. There's stories of the Rolling Stones, Jimmy Page and Paul Rodgers form the side project The Firm, The Blues Brothers surprises everyone with a hit movie and accompanying soundtrack.
